For any inquiries, feel free to contact us at workshops@acctinfo.org.
Deadline:
The proposal submission deadline for our 2025 event is May 31, 2024.
Reason for the Deadline:
The deadline is set to accommodate the extensive logistical arrangements required for the event, which involve coordination with multiple individuals and venues. Scheduling sessions for the event is a complex task, considering factors such as meeting room size, setup, AV requirements, and more. We aim to finalize the schedule as early as possible to inform potential attendees and facilitate their preparation for the event.
Session Tracks and Importance:
At our conference, we provide several session tracks specifically designed to address various facets of the aerial adventure and challenge course industry. It's important to grasp the importance of these tracks when preparing and submitting a session for consideration. Below, you'll find detailed information on each of these tracks.
-
FP - Facilitation / Programming:
Tailored for facilitators, challenge course managers, trainers/testers, and those seeking to enhance their program delivery or build new programming strategies. -
IB - Industry / Business:
Designed for individuals and companies seeking detailed insights into the industry, featuring discussions with ACCT leadership and industry experts. -
OM - Operations / Management:
Targeted at individuals serving in management roles within the industry, providing insights into operational and managerial aspects of adventure parks and challenge course programs. -
TR – Trainer:
Intended for trainers, operations personnel, and vendors focusing on practitioner training in the adventure and challenge course industry. -
TT - Technical Topics:
Geared towards individuals interested in the technical aspects of the challenge course industry, including workshops relevant to ACCT Inspector Certification Exam (ICE) applicants.
Additional Considerations for Workshop Submissions:
-
Audience consideration, including varying skill levels and focus areas.
-
Crafting creative and descriptive workshop titles within the six-word limit.
After Submission:
Upon submission, a Workshop Review Task Force (WRTF) is formed, comprising representatives from ACCT Volunteer Work Groups. They review each submission and provide feedback, considering factors such as session details, presenters, and learning objectives.
Review Process:
The WRTF members evaluate each submission within two weeks of the deadline, providing feedback and recommendations. The Workshop Coordinators then assess the feedback alongside previous evaluations to inform final selections, ensuring a diverse and balanced range of sessions.
Notification:
Applicants can expect to be notified of their submission status in July. If accepted, a discount code will be provided. ACCT offers one discounted registration per session presented.
Thank you for considering presenting at our conference. We look forward to receiving your proposals!
