ACCT is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association. A membership with ACCT is vital in keeping the association financially sustainable, relevant, and influential as the chief advocate for the challenge course industry. Our diverse global membership is comprised of owners, operators, builders, installers, college educators, camp directors, practitioners, students, researchers, and other stakeholders. Membership is open to all individuals who share a desire to stay informed, expand their knowledge, connect with other members, and network with industry leaders!

The following benefits apply to each individual who holds their own membership or is inheriting membership from a company seat. Inheriting members must be legally employed by the member organization and listed on payroll. Volunteers and contract employees are not included. 
Each individual member or member organization is also permitted one vote for Board Members in the General Membership Category.

  • Eligibility to submit industry related events for posting to ACCT social media.

Business to Business (B2B)

Examples: Vendors, Suppliers, Manufacturers
An organization
or company that provides services or products to operators, vendors, or manufacturers.

Common services offered by Vendors include but are not limited to design, installation, inspection, training and certification, operational reviews, engineering and business consulting. Many vendors also provide products direct to operators, and on occasion, direct to consumers.

Commercial Operator: $490.00/year
Non-Profit: $360.00/year

*To qualify for non-profit pricing, the member organization must submit proof that their entity is a legally registered non-profit in their jurisdiction. Proof shall include a letter or certificate of non-profit status from the recognized jurisdictional taxing authority and must be on-file at the ACCT office by e-mailing membership@acctinfo.org.

Membership includes five seats. Additional individuals may be added to the organization’s membership roster at an additional cost of $50 per additional member. Administrative accounts (Billing, Management, Primary Contact) do not need to use a seat.

Join as Business to Business (B2B)

Business to Client (B2C) Service Provider

Examples: Operator, Programmer
An organization or company offering challenge course programs or services direct to the public at a specific site or location.

Most B2C operators manage challenge courses that may include but are not limited to low elements, high elements, climbing walls, ziplines, canopy tours, aerial adventure parks, or provide experience-based training and development to end users. Their offerings may be further described as educational, developmental, therapeutic, or recreational in nature.

Memberships for Operator / B2C Members are on a per-site basis. Organizations that operate multiple sites or locations may require more than one membership. Please contact the ACCT Business Office for more details.

  • OPERATION ACCREDITATION 

    An ACCT Accredited Operator is a company which has successfully completed the Accreditation Application, including the Accreditation process. The process includes a review by qualified parties which determines an applicant’s adherence to ACCT Accreditation Policies and Procedures and its  commitment to ACCT Standards. Successful completion of this process distinguishes an Accredited Operator from other challenge course programs and operations, identifying the Accredited Operator as having been found to be highly experienced and competent.

    • Three additional membership seats, for a total of eight.
    • Participation in an industry recognized accreditation review process.

Industry Stakeholder/Affiliate Member

Any organization or entity that has an interest in the Challenge Course market.

Included in this category are organizations that are involved in standard setting, regulation and policy making, other trade associations, law firms, supplemental service providers, and amusement park operators that do not provide Challenge Course services.

Stakeholder / Affiliate: $365.00/year

Membership includes four seats. Additional individuals may be added to the organization’s membership roster at an additional cost of $50 per additional member. Administrative accounts (Billing, Management, Primary Contact) do not need to use a seat.

Join as Industry Stakeholder/Affiliate Member

Individual Member

Individual memberships are limited to one person. Individual members cannot be associated with any type of organization eligible for a B2C, B2B, or Industry Stakeholder membership unless that organization’s challenge course services, programs, and products are ancillary to the organization’s purpose and represent less than 15% of the organization’s annual revenue.

Examples of individual memberships may include, but are not limited to: a lawyer, engineer, facilitator/trainer/builder defined as an independent contractor, or any individual with an active interest in the industry.

Individual: $105.00/year

Join as Individual Member

Senior Member

Senior memberships are limited to one person. Senior members cannot be associated with any type of organization eligible for a B2C, B2B, or Industry Stakeholder membership unless that organization’s challenge course services, programs, and products are ancillary to the organization’s purpose and represent less than 15% of the organization’s annual revenue. 

Examples of individual memberships may include, but are not limited to: lawyer, engineer, facilitator/trainer/builder defined as an independent contractor, retired person or any individual with an active interest in the industry.

Senior: $70.00/year

*To qualify for senior pricing, the member must be 65 years of age or older.

Student Member

Student memberships are limited to one person. Student members cannot be associated with any type of organizational membership such as a B2C or B2B membership unless that organization’s challenge course services, programs, and products are ancillary to the organization’s purpose and represent less than 15% of the organization’s annual revenue. 

Examples of individual memberships may include, but are not limited to: students.

Students: $70.00/year

*To qualify for student pricing, the member must be enrolled, full-time in a secondary, undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate program. Full-time shall be defined as 12 or more credits per annum for undergraduate studies and 16 or more credits per annum for graduate or post-graduate studies.
