Hubbell Advisory Update

On April 1st, 2021, the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) distributed a manufacturer advisory regarding use within the challenge course industry of various types of deadends manufactured by Hubbell Power Systems and their affiliated brands (collectively referred to herein as “Hubbell”). That notice can be found here.

In the days since, ACCT has been made aware of an updated advisory from Hubbell, which it is including here. This updated version expands the scope of the original advisory to include some other hardware manufactured by Hubbell including suspension clamps and pole bands.

ACCT recommends that owners/operators, and other industry stakeholders, consult with their vendor, legal counsel, insurance carrier and/or authority having jurisdiction regarding specific actions that may be taken with respect to this advisory.

ACCT will continue to monitor this developing matter and will distribute any more information as it becomes available.
