Challenge / Ropes Course Trainer

Join the Challenge Works team as a Challenge/Ropes Course Trainer delivering top notch curriculum to our amazing clients across the state of California! We are looking for candidates with a strong professional and fun attitude. Experience on various challenge courses, zip lines, aerial adventure courses, or treks is required. We are hiring for both part-time and seasonally full-time positions. Full time seasonal positions are available in May and June 2025. Part-time positions are available year-round, but hours may vary. This job may involve working individually with client teams, or in a group with other Challenge Works trainers.

This job involves periods of travel occasionally exceeding one week at a time. You would travel to some of the most beautiful areas of California and get to enjoy them while working and having fun! This job is predominantly outdoors and in all kinds of weather. This job can include working on weekends. 

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working at height

• Organized, professional, mature individuals with attention to detail

• Love for the outdoors

• Meets ACCT Qualified Course Professional standard for Trainer/Tester  (https://www.acctinfo.org/qualified-course-professional) including

  • Age 21 or older

  • Understanding of the ANSI/ACCT 03-2016 Challenge Courses and Canopy/Zip Line Tours Standards, Chapter 2: Section B: Operations Management

  • A minimum of 280 hours of delivering training to practitioners

• Passionate about training a variety of individuals of all skill levels

• Willing to travel (sometimes multiple weeks)

• Positive attitude

• Based in California

• Reliable vehicle

• Drivers License in good standing
