[Colorado] Enforcement Discretion & Dec. 19 Stakeholder meeting: Discussion of guidance document
Date postedDecember 3, 2024
A letter received from the State of Colorado Amusement Rides & Devices Program:
Dear Operators and Inspectors,Our Division Director, Mahesh Albuquerque, has issued an Enforcement Discretion guidance document.
This discretion gives operators of previously unregistered rides and devices impacted by the August 30, 2024, revisions to the State of Colorado Amusement Regulations until July 31, 2025, to submit Certificates of Inspection for these rides and devices (form updated to include a checkbox for these existing and not previously registered rides and devices), while mandating that operators still comply with all of the other requirements in the Regulations. Please read this document carefully.
We are aware that many of you are diligently working towards compliance with the new Regulations. Please use this enforcement discretion period to continue taking the necessary steps to get your rides and devices registered.
If you were unable to attend the 11/19/24 meeting, our office is offering another (optional) opportunity to discuss the Non-Mechanized Amusement Rides and Devices - Ninja Courses, Dry Slides, and similar guidance document (this guidance still applies with the caveat that the enforcement discretion period provides an extension from the November 30th deadline for some parts of the process):
