JOB SUMMARY:

Vestals Gap Ventures provides innovative course and program designs for schools, camps, conference centers, commercial adventure parks, zip-line tours and much more. We are looking for skilled and professional installers that can help bring these creations to life. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside other professionals as part of a high functioning, small team responsible for the construction and installation of challenge courses, zip-lines, and adventure/arial parks
  • Help ensure the construction processes are in compliance with VGV and industry standards
  • Manage and maintain all materials, tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Follow directions and guidelines of all given design criteria and construction techniques
  • Maintain a professional work environment
  • Rope access work necessary: ascending, descending, work positioning, tying knots, splicing, rope care, etc
  • Perform carpentry & rigging tasks as needed
  • Operation of heavy equipment, as needed
  • Complete, report, and/or document daily tasks to site supervisor
  • Follow proper safety & communication protocol
  • Manage and mitigate risk whenever possible

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Available to travel and willing to live and work on project sites for extended periods of time 
  • Physically able to:
    • Work outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat, extreme cold, and precipitation
    • Work at high elevations (up to 70')
    • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity that meets or exceeds industry standards
  • Produce and understand written and verbal instructions between job site staff
  • Hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Pass background check and able to work within schools/camps

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • 2 years (5 yrs preferred) construction experience
  • Experience with tools and hardware of various kinds
  • Familiar with industry standards and common practices
  • ACCT Inspector Certification preferred
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid or higher medical certification
  • Previous experience in one of the following areas is recommended:
    • Working as a facilitator, builder, or maintenance on challenge courses and/or zip lines
    • Carpentry, rigging, and/or welding experience
