Does working outdoors in spectacular park settings and being able to deliver recreational and educational programs to the world excite you? If so, our Parks Programs Coordinator I position with LCRA Parks may be the perfect career!
LCRA Parks is a dynamic park system that strives on providing amazing experiences to the community. From rock climbing and kayaking to UTVs and ropes courses, we have it all. This position will be responsible for holding the standard of our parks high to achieve LCRA Parks’ goal of being the most dynamic park system in the nation. You will be trusted to:
- Coordinate and facilitate outdoor recreation and natural science programs designed to deliver meaningful stewardship education including water quality and natural resource protection.
- Assist in program development and updates, as necessary.
- Conduct pre-program orientation with participants on program and safety rules.
- Implement effective safety measures, when necessary, and observe necessary precautions to secure the safety of program participants and render routine first aid in cases of minor injury.
- Be responsible for program equipment including: conduct pre-program inspections, clean and store after programs, repair and maintain for safe use and secure for assigned programs.
-Drive, as needed, while providing programs.
You qualify with:
- One or more years of relevant experience.
- Driver's License
You are a great fit with:
- 3 plus years of relevant experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience facilitating challenge course programs or working at height
- Experience guiding or instructing in kayaks, canoes, or rafts
Competitive Pay Range:
- $19.82/hr-$24.22/hour
This pay range represents a general target and is not reflective of the full pay range. Offers to selected candidates are contingent upon various factors such as skills, experience and education.
